Aitana LΓ³pez Rodrigo (she/her) is an artist and filmmaker based in Rotterdam. Working across sound, video, and installation, her work explores precariousness both as subject matter and as a formal condition, often embracing DIY and low-budget methodologies. In her practice, she listens closely to found sound — street conversations, voice notes — and collects fragments of text, from slogans to bureaucratic language, elements that often trigger and structure her projects. Her work is strongly shaped by rhythm, narration, and chance.

Apart from her individual practice, she has also collaborated with artists like Panida Te Petchara, Sara Santana or Miguel Ruz. On a local level, she is part of Noranje, FilmDak and Feministas en Rotterdam. Aitana studied Fine Arts in Madrid and Paris, and holds a master degree from the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. Her work has been showcased at film festivals and art spaces such as WORM Rotterdam (NL), Matadero Madrid (ES), D'A Film Festival (ES), the Historic Archive of Barcelona (ES), La Capella, Barcelona (ES), Eye Filmmuseum, Amsterdam (NL), Medialab Prado Madrid (ES), Garage Rotterdam (NL), FetFilm Festival, Stockholm (SE), or Mientras Tanto Film Festival, Montevideo (UR), among others.
